Incorporated in January 1993 Showpla Hong Kong Ltd is involved in the plastic injection molding business. Our manufacturing subsidiaries in China serve as strategic business partners to multinational organisations (including many large Japanese OEM multinationals) which have been expanding aggressively in China and elsewhere. Our business is mainly in the injection molding of plastic components and parts for the consumer electrical/electronics, office automation and automotive markets.

We have three established manufacturing subsidiaries in China:

Showa Plastics (Shenzhen) Co Ltd.........Shenzhen
Shanghai Showa Plastics Co Ltd..........Shanghai
Showa Plastics (Jinan) Co Ltd.........Jinan

Our Group's manufacturing facilities are strategically located in major cities in China. All of them are ISO 9001:2000 certified. Our Shanghai and Jinan subsidiaries are ISO 14001:1996 certified while our Shenzhen subsidiary is ISO 14001:2004 certified. We have a total of 122 injection-molding machines with tonnage of between 25 tons to 1300 tons. All our machines are from Japanese manufacturers - Mitsubishi, Sumitomo, Nissei and Meiki. To provide complete service and turnkey solutions to our customers, we also provide assembly, die fabrication and printing capabilities together with related equipments.

Some of the products manufactured are high precision covers and parts for office automation equipment (e.g. fax machines and photocopiers), household appliances and electronic products (e.g. television, air-conditioners, refrigerators and audio equipment). Our group¡¦s top five major customers are Konica Minolta Business Technology , Canon Group , Matsushita Electric Group, Ricoh Group and Toto Group.

 

With our ¡¥Customers Come First¡¦ concept, we are currently seeking to expand our production solution to cater for the global automotive industry. Our Shenzhen subsidiary, with its pursuit of obtaining ISO/TS16949:2002 certification, has successfully obtained this  certification in January 2005 after the completion of rigorous auditing procedures carried out by the authorities until November 2004.

 

The thrive to sustain as a key supplier of high quality plastic parts to its multinational OEM customers is further strengthened with the takeover by Arrk Corporation  (a Tokyo Stock Exchange and JASDAQ listed company (website: http://www.arrk.co.jp)) in February, 2005.

Our management team comprises 10 Japanese expatriates who are very experienced in this industry. We have a total of about 600 employees within the Group.
